Dimensions & gross weight
Measure each item including its pallet, packaging and any overhang. Add the weight of all items; a vehicle's pallet count does not override its payload limit.

Loading & tail lifts
Tell us about forklifts, loading bays and assistance at both ends. Tail-lift options are available on suitable Lutons, 7.5T and 18T vehicles. The standard limit is 400kg per pallet or handling unit. Drivers operate kerbside; loading and unloading are the sender’s and receiver’s responsibility unless agreed in advance.

Access & timing
Check height, width and weight restrictions, opening hours and unloading space. Provide the goods-ready time and delivery deadline; call first for urgent or time-critical movements.
ADR or specialist requirements?
Use the ADR quote form for dangerous goods. ADR loads are reviewed and priced manually. For temperature-controlled transport, airport freight, airside access, HIAB, Moffett or other specialist requirements, call our team before booking.

How do I choose the right courier van size?
Check total shipment weight, the dimensions of each item and how the goods will be loaded. Pallet count alone is not enough: include the pallet and packaging in your measurements, and allow for overhang, door openings and wheel arches. If the fit is close or uncertain, call our team before booking.
Can I get a van quote and book online?

What is the difference between Luton Box and Luton Curtain vans?
A Luton Box has an enclosed box body, while a Luton Curtain has curtain sides that can provide side access for loading. Payload and usable height differ between the two options. Tail-lift availability and loading arrangements must also suit the shipment; confirm any specific access requirement before booking.
Can I request a tail lift?
Tail-lift options are available for suitable Luton, 7.5T and 18T movements, subject to availability and loading conditions. Our standard tail-lift limit is 400kg per pallet or handling unit. Total vehicle payload limits still apply. Tell us about equipment and access at both addresses, and call before booking if a handling unit is heavier or needs special assistance.
Are the vehicle dimensions and payloads guaranteed?
The figures are planning guides. Vehicle body type, fitted equipment, loading access and the specific vehicle allocated can affect usable capacity. Maximum pallet count and maximum payload are separate limits; the load must meet both. Confirm any close-fitting, oversized or unusually heavy load with our team.
How do I get a truck or artic quote?
Use the HGV quote form for a 7.5T, 18T or articulated curtainsider. Include the route, dates, pallet count, dimensions, gross weight and loading requirements. Our team reviews the request and sends a quotation. A quote request does not reserve a vehicle.
